The Property Details
The villa was built in 2002 and is part of the Indian Creel Boulevard development which is off Formosa Gardens Boulevard, which in turn is off highway 192. So you could not be any more central to the attractions of the area. The easiest way to get there from the airport is to take the north exit and pick up the beachline expressway heading west, then get the I4 heading south, sign posted towards TAMPA. Then you take the 192 exit heading west.....Formosa Gardens is then just a couple of miles down on the left.
There is a mix of traditional Floridian style homes of various sizes, some of which are second homes, like ours and many are first homes for the locals, who are very friendly. The edge of the development is typical of the surrounding areas with lakes, cypress trees and dense scrub.
The rear of the Villa is south facing so takes the sun most of the day, well until about 18:00 pm, but the lanai provides welcome shade until then. When we are there, we use a small gas barbecue to prepare meals outside, and I have to say the local supermarket produce for this is excellent. We pick up the gas cylinders from WalMart which is about 10 minutes drive away!
